Tie-Dye

So, I made two tie-dye shirts yesterday!  They turned out AWESOME! 😀

A friend of ours came over, and we all made shirts.  They all turned out so cool, and so different.  It was so much fun, and it was so exciting seeing all of the shirts when they were done!

Just thought I’d share that.  Today I am going to a guitar lesson.  I am learning Tiger Mountain Peasant Song by the Fleet Foxes.  It’s going well so far…

Have a nice Wednesday, and try making tie-dye sometime, it’s fun. 🙂

It’s the thought that counts

Yesterday I received some really sweet and thoughtful gifts…

I am very thankful for my life and my family and friends.  The gifts I received mean a lot to me, and I will treasure them always.  I hope that this week will be a gift from God to everyone as each day goes by.  Have a wonderful day!

God Bless,

Jenny~

“I thank God for this day,  for the sun in the sky.  For the friends that I have, and my piece of chocolate birthday cake.  And my home on the ground, and the love that’s all around.  That’s why I say thanks everyday…”

(Veggie Tales song…With a few alterations: my brother turned 13 yesterday, and we had chocolate birthday cake.) 🙂

Band-Aids Make Things Better

I was sitting at the kitchen table eating chicken noodle soup with my baby brother.  The sun was shinning through the windows, and the trees were blowing in the evening spring breeze…As I sip the last of my soup, I get up to put my bowl in the dishwasher and clean the soup pot.  Then I see one of my other little brothers in the kitchen holding a sharp knife that he probably shouldn’t be holding.  And, as I step in to save anyone from getting a boo-boo, I ram my ring finger into the sharp blade and slice it open!  (Sorry to be graphic)  Now it is rapped in a paper towel, because we are out of band-aids, and it won’t stop bleeding. 😦

Moral of the story: NEVER run out of band-aids!  They always make boo-boos better and bring smiles to the wounded. 🙂

Have a wonderful day!

Love,

Jenny

Praise and Worship

“Here I am before you God, falling in love and seeking your truth.  Knowing that your grace, has brought me to this  place.  Because of you I freely live, my life to you oh God I give.  So I stand before you God, I lift my voice because you set me free….

So I shout out your name from the rooftops I proclaim, that I am yours.  I am yours…All that I am I place into your loving hands.  That I am yours, I am yours.”
I love this song so much…

Weddings!

Being a bridesmaid is my new favorite thing! 🙂  Today was nothing but beautiful.  My sister, Sarah, got married today, and we just got finished up with it about an hour ago.  She was beautiful, the wedding was beautiful, and the weather was beautiful!  It was suppose to rain too, but it didn’t.  Well now I am going to try to rest and relax my feet.  I will blog later…

Much love, and have a wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Jenny~

PS. I am going to post some wedding pictures.

Dia duit

I guess I’ll start out with a small introduction…

My name is Jennifer Barger, and I have made this blog because I love writing and I thought it’d be really fun.  Well, lets see…I come from Georgia and I live in a family of 12 children.  I know what you’re thinking, ‘Oh My GOSH!  It’s like Cheaper By The Dozen!!’  No.  It is nothing like that!  It’s a lot of fun, and we all like each other.  Ha ha!  I am SMACK in the middle too.  My oldest sister has a blog as well: http://www.bessieart.blogspot.com, check it out!  I love being in a big family.

Thank you for stopping by and reading whatever I have posted!  I am really excited about posting stuff, and there will be pictures posted, some story attempts, and just my thoughts.  Ha ha!  Thanks again, and I’ll be posting soon!

Love,

Jenny 🙂

PS. Dia duit is Irish for Hello!!!  (Just in case anyone was wondering)
