Munching on Sweets

Just sitting here in my room on my bed munching on a Nerd rope and thought I’d post something!  So, next week is New Year’s!  What do you have planned?  I am staying home and drinking sparkling cider at 12am and then going to bed, then going to church.  I feel that 2012 is going to be a great year.

A few weeks ago I started writing some Resolutions down…I always do, like a lot of people.  Usually out of my list of a hundred things (exaggerating), I accomplish one.  This year I will hopefully change that and I will hopefully accomplish at least half of my Resolutions!  It feels good to accomplish things, no matter what it is.

How did Christmas go for you, Blog World?  Hopefully Santa didn’t give anyone coal…Cael asked me on Christmas Eve “Jefer, is Santa goin a give me rocks?”  I told him “NO!  Of course not silly goose!”  and he went away happy. 🙂  He definitely didn’t give anyone rocks.  Santa Claus was mighty generous indeed!  We were all very grateful for our gifts and surprises.

Today I went 2012 Calendar shopping with my good friend, Hailee, and we both found wonderful calendars.  We were in Walmart for about 30 minutes or longer because they had a large (and good) selection of calendars (and because we are both rather indecisive, especially when it comes to calendars!).  She bought an Audrey Hepburn one, and I ended up with a pretty Flower one. 🙂

Have a blessed week and a Happy New Year to you.  May 2012 be a year of joy, happiness, moments shared, and time used wisely.  God Bless,

Jenny~

Merry Christmas!

Just a quick note…a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.  May your day be glorious and blessed with happiness, peace, joy, and a BUNCH of awesome presents! 🙂  No no…may you truly understand why we celebrate Christmas.  Praise the Lord today and don’t let anything bother you.  God Bless!

Below there is a link to a Christmas video made by my two brothers, Joshua and Eli.  I hope you thoroughly enjoy it! 🙂

Christmas play, Christmas Day!?!

Today was the church Christmas play, and…It went great! 🙂

During church we put on our production of Dude, You Hear What I Hear? a Christmas play, and it was a lot of fun.  We have worked so hard with the kids for a few months, and they all did a wonderful job.  Of course, there were a few mess ups and conflicts, but what’s a children’s Christmas play without a stutter or two?!  It was great, and I know we are all happy to be done with it now!  Ha ha.

CHRISTMAS IS IN ONE WEEK!  I can’t believe it!  Next week is Christmas?!  Where did October, November, and December go?  Where did 2011 go!  I am excited, but I don’t understand why the year has slipped away so quickly.  I feel like I just shouted “HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!” to my friends and family.  Craziness.

So, what is everyone doing for Christmas?  Vacationing, staying home?  For what I know, we are staying home for the day and most likely doing what we always do, and we’ll probably go to church if we have it.  I think I’m mostly excited about Christmas Eve to tell you the truth.  We usually do a lot more on Christmas Eve then on Christmas day!  All in all, I am excited about both days and can’t wait (I guess I won’t  be waiting for too long!)!

God Bless, and have a very Merry Christmas.  Try to be a happy and grateful person! 🙂  Remember the true meaning of Christmas while you share all  the joy, laughter, presents, happiness, and hugs and kisses with everyone…Christ is born is Bethlehem!  Hark, the Harold Angels sing, Glory to the new born King…Praise Lord, Jesus Christ!

Merry Christmas

Vintage Notes and Chicken Coops

Well!

As you might notice from the title, this post will be about old cards and chicken houses… 🙂

We have five hens, we got them right before Easter this year, and my father is building them a beautiful wooden coop in the backyard!  It looks great so far and I can’t wait to see the finished product (I’ll be updating on the chicken coop a lot as it progresses).

A few MONTHS ago I went to an antique store and bought two old Sympathy cards that I LOVE!!  I wish there were still cards today that were so sweet and so pretty.  Enough of me typing!  Here are some pictures. 🙂

It was getting dark when I took these pictures

Looks good, right?

Okay…you can’t really tell, but this picture is of all the muddy paw prints all over the beautiful wood floor!  *ugh* Dogs!! 😛

The ‘Fan’ card.  (front says “So Sorry You Are Sick!”)

(inside of card) A sweet note!

(the left side inside of card)  Like the note said, if you lift up each fan, there are a few encouraging words inside! 🙂

Card #2

(front of card says “May You Soon Be Well!”)  This one is pretty.

On the front of the card, there is a tiny card, and if you keep unfolding it you can write a message in it.

(inside of card)  On the left side there is a little cluster of pink flowers.

On Sunday we had a White Elephant party at our house for the youth group at church, and it was a lot of fun!  First I opened a pack of baseball cards, but someone ‘stole’ them from me.  Here is what I ended up with…

a BIG, clear, air-soft gun with green bullets!  Like I’ll EVER use it…actually, I might have a reason to one day. 😉

I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas!?!  This time last year Bess and Sarah were both getting engaged, and we were snowed in our house for a week, and I was still dancing!  Now, Bess and Sarah are married, there is no snow, and instead of dancing, I am sitting around doing nothing…nothing athletic that is.  Life!  It just wants to keep moving forward

I hope everyone has a glorious rest of December, and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!  May it be marvelous!! 🙂

God Bless,

Jenny~

You Alone Can Rescue

Who, oh Lord, could save themselves, their own souls could heal.  Our shame was deeper then the sea, your grace is deeper still.

You alone can rescue, you alone can save.  you alone can lift us from the grave.  You came down to find us, led us out of death.  To you alone belongs the highest praise!

You, oh Lord, have made a way, the great divide you heal.  For when our hearts were far away, your love went further still.  Yes, your love went further still!

You alone can rescue, you alone can save.  You alone can lift us from the grave.  You came down to find us, led us out of death.  To you alone belongs the highest praise!

We lift up our eyes, lift up our eyes
You’re the Giver of Life
We lift up our eyes, lift up our eyes
You’re the Giver of Life
We lift up our eyes, lift up our eyes
You’re the Giver of Life
We lift up our eyes, lift up our eyes
You’re the Giver of Life

You alone can rescue, You alone can save
You alone can lift us from the grave
You came down to find us, led us out of death
To You alone belongs the highest praise
To You alone belongs the highest praise
To You alone belongs the highest praise

God Bless,

Jenny~

December 1st

Happy first of December!

So, my plan was to post a few pictures from Thanksgiving, but my sister has the camera that I took those pictures on…of course!  Anyway.  How did everyone enjoy their Thanksgiving?  I hope it was great for everyone.

Christmas is in 24 days…WHAT?!?!  It seems insane.  Yesterday we got our Christmas tree, and it’s very pretty!  Soon we’ll bring it inside and decorate it (I’d post a picture of the tree, but those pictures are with my sister as well).

Here’s what I’m going to do.  I have some pictures from when we got pumpkins, and from when we got home from going to Ellijay to get apples!  I’ll just share those with you…if you’d be so kind…please silence all cell phones and pagers, sit back, relax, grab a snack while you’re at it, and enjoy…
