Just a quick note:

I have updated my “About Me” and “A Few of My Favorite Things” and I will soon be posting pictures in the “Wedding Pictures” section above.

The next few days and weeks will be cool and interesting posts.  Can’t wait to post them!  God Bless.

Lizards in January

I’m not surprised that there are lizards outside already!  I think all of nature is confused with the weather just as much as I am!  Daffodils are blooming, mosquito’s are biting, and lizards are running for their lives at our house…and it’s only the end of January!

Today I went outside with my little brother, John, and we played frisbee.  As we were calmly and peacefully throwing the disc back and forth while the beautiful breeze blew through our hair, Joshua screams out “HEY JOHN!  CLAY HAS A LIZARD IN HIS MOUTH!”  and, without any hesitation, John was off as fast as possible to go see it.  And…I was left alone with nothing but the dogs barking at me…..anyway!  Johnny-Boy came to the rescue for that (stupid) lizard!  Clay (our cat) dropped the lizard, and in five seconds John had picked it up and was holding it high above kitty’s reach (kitty-cat got very annoyed and finally went on his way).  With all that said (probably a bit confusing), here are some pictures of my dear brothers with a lizard!

(Grubby little hands)

Also, I made another AWESOME origami heart today!  This kind was also very easy to make, and very fun too. 🙂

Ain’t it pertay??!

Tomorrow is February…fourteen days until  Valentine’s Day!  Honestly, I don’t know why I like V-day so much.  It has just always been one of my favorite holidays. 🙂

Have a wonderful Wednesday!  Hopefully the weather will be nice.  God Bless, and much love from,

PS. This is post #60

Paper Crafts

The day after tomorrow is February 1st!  Of course I will most likely post something on Feb.1, but…I just had to share what I made today with you, dear blog!

I haven’t posted in a while, so here is a nice, crafty post with love from me to you.

Okay–today I learned how to make origami hearts and roses!  The hearts are very easy (I’ve made four of them), but the rose took me about 20 minutes to make and out of that 20 min, I made ONE!  I’ve never really done origami before, so I was very surprised with my rose outcome (the guy in the video said that beginners will have a very hard time making the rose…ha ha!  I sure showed him!).

Here are some pictures.

Front view.

Back view.

And there’s even a little pocket where you could stick a note!

First one,

This is called a Rose Prep.

(It took 12-15 minutes to make!)

Ta da!!! 😀  A Rose.

(Some fancy editing…ha ha)

I hope that was enjoyable!  Now, I must go outside before the sun sets!  Oh, my “Goal” for the next week or two is to make a bouquet of those roses and have a vase full by Valentine’s day!  I’ll have 16 if I make one everyday until V-day!  Well, we’ll see and I’ll post a picture if I succeed.

Have a wonderful week!  Enjoy these last couple of days of January.  It has so far been a good start to 2012, don’t you agree?  I mean, the weather has been a little wet, and everyone has been pretty sick, but it’s been nice.  God Bless, and much love.

Thank You

Thank you nice people of this world, for showing us how important it is to love and care for others.  Thank you for sitting and listening while someone needs to rant or cry, or express their happiness!  Thank you for putting up with any annoyances and being respectful to your elders (even if you disagree with what they say or teach).  Sometimes we look down upon people and shun them for no reason what-so-ever, but thank you to those who except everyone–no matter what their faults or aggravating habits may be!

(I did not take this picture)

As I go from day to day, I want to be there for anyone who might need me.  To encourage those who feel discouraged, to love those who feel unloved, and to except those who feel un-excepted.  I want to learn how to be unselfish and live a life for God!  Thank you, again, to the large handful of people who are selfless and caring and God fearing.

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

Psalm 51:10

Have a blessed rest of this beautiful day, and as 2012 comes together, love your neighbor and sacrifice for those you truly love.  Don’t think selfishly.  God Bless.

Beautiful Faces

Faces are so wonderful and interesting!  It’s very fun going through the hundreds of years past and seeing how much we’ve changed in the way we wear makeup, put our hair up, dress from day to day, and even how much we’ve changed from having a generation of small feet to a generation of big feet!  Ha ha 🙂

This post is about old film actresses.  You might not know this, but I am a very big “oldies” movie fan!  1920’s, 30’s, 40′, 50’s, and 60’s–some of my favorite movies are from those time eras.  So, please enjoy these glamorous and beautiful pictures of some very famous and lovely women.

(You know, back then everyone knew how to sing and dance!  Musicals were the most popular in the time of most of the actresses below.  Under the picture I will put their name and what they were commonly known for).

Ann Miller–dancer and actress.

Cyd Charisse–dancer and actress.

(She was one of my favorite dancers)

Vera Ellen–dancer and actress.

Debbie Reynolds–dancer, singer, and actress.

Rosemary Clooney–singer and actress

June Allyson–actress

Jane Powell-singer, dancer, and actress

Katharine Hepburn–actress

(She was so glamorous!)

Judy Garland–singer and actress

Betty Garret–singer, dancer, comedian, and actress

Eve Arden–actress

Doris Day–singer and actress

Janet Leigh–actress

Elizabeth Taylor–actress

Shirley MacLaine–actress, singer, and dancer

Grace Kelly–actress

Barbra Streisand–singer and actress

Julie Andrews–singer and actress

(She is still that pretty today!)

Natalie Wood–actress

Susan Hayward–actress

Ginger Rogers–dancer, singer, and actress

Marilyn Monroe–singer, model, and actress

Lucille Ball–actress, comedian, and model

And last, but not least, my favorite actress…

Audrey Hepburn!!!

young Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey in the 60’s.  As you can tell by the hair!

Audrey in Sabrina.  To my knowledge, there were no poodles in that movie…

She was a beautiful and wonderful actress and person.

Alright!  This post has been long enough.  I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it!  Personally, I have enjoyed posting and sharing it with you.  Have a glorious and beautiful weekend.  If it snows, may you stay safe and warm.  God bless, and much love always.

Last night we had a surprise birthday party for my sister, Skylar, and it turned out AWESOME!  I’d love to post pictures, but my sisters and friends took the pics, so I don’t have any to share right now, but I’ll try to post a few some time. 🙂

Hopefully everyone’s First Week of January is going well so far?  It’s so exciting going into a new year.  I, personally, am very excited about this year.  You never know what will or could happen.  I hope we have safe winter weather though…

Here’s a secret.  I don’t like the winter!  The cold weather is WONDERFUL, but I don’t like the snow.  Two reasons: 1. It makes it life threatening to drive!  2. I don’t like messing it up (the snow, that is).  Ha ha 🙂

So, I guess I don’t like the snow…

One thing I love about the snow though is watching it fall.  I love how it’s completely silent and white.  So pretty!  Other then that, it’s not one of my “Favorite” things.

I wrote a poem that I will post soon, hopefully.  It needs a little editing and fixing up.  Have an amazing first week of 2012, and try to have an amazing 2012!!

God Bless,

Happy New Year 2012!

As I cheer and yell “Happy New Year” to the world, I hear fireworks going off from each side of me and I hear the sweet voices which I have grown up with and loved all my life surround me as we share smiles and laughter and our resolutions with each other…my darling baby brother, with his glass of sparkling cider, says “Happy New Year” and “Cheers” as he walks through the house with all the ‘giants’ walking around him and pushing him over–so sweet he is and precious his little voice.  Sweet memories I’ve made and will continue to make and keep as the New Year comes around.  I am truly happy and very excited about what’s to come!  God Bless the new year, and may it truly be a prosperous year for us all…

With much love, and may the Lord be with you in 2012.  Here’s to 2011!  So long and farewell!  Here’s to 2012…welcome with open arms!

Thank you to all who have followed my blog, looked at my blog, commented on my blog, and supported me through this year.  I appreciate it very much!  🙂  Love, Jennafifi at http://www.wordpress.com (post #55)
