The End…again!

Since it’s now the end of April, I thought I should probably post SOMETHING! 🙂  Here’s whats been going on…..

We got 12 chicks!  Six of them my sister, Skylar, bought just because (who does that?! 😉 ), and the other six we ordered a while ago and we picked them up from the post office a few weeks ago.  They are pretty cute!

The chicken coop is looking very nice!  My dad has almost finished the metal roofing as of today…it’s been a slow process mainly cause we’ve been busy, AND my dear father cracked a rib!!  But it will be done soon and looking groovy.

Sarah (my sister) and her husband have found out the gender of their baby…’s a boy!!! 😀  He is getting big, as you can tell from looking at her belly, and he seems to be growing nice and healthily!  (We’re very excited about “Baby Bomber”, as Cael likes to say)

Alpacas are not coming this month, but my family is going up on Saturday to see them get sheered!  April flew by for us and we are not quite ready for alpacas to live here yet!  They will be moving in in May.

THIS weekend I am participating, with my youth group, in Disciple Now which is a weekend long youth event!  We will meet at a church with a few other youth groups from different churches and divide up into smaller groups then stay at the assigned “Host Home” and have a fun filled weekend of praise and worship, bible study, and lots of fun! 🙂  We’ll get back Sunday morning.  (Sadly, I will miss the alpaca sheering…*bummer* (I’m not bummed.)) 😛

Short news report: Our dogs, Leah and Judy, are pregnant…..

Here’s some news that I found out today…I am going to a Tom Petty concert this Sunday night!!!  AND one of my favorite singers is opening for him…Regina Spektor!  I can’t even believe it–I’m thrilled!  😀

Once again my camera has hid itself from me!  I cannot find it ANYWHERE!?!?!  It’s very annoying when that happens…especially when you have a blog and want to post pictures. 😦  Oh well.

Lastly, Skylar made the most amazing cheesy-noodle dish for dinner tonight!  It was delicious!

Well, that’s all the news I can think of at the moment!  I truly hope May will stay with us longer then April has.  Have a wonderful week, stay safe, and God bless.

There ya go!  I am a big fan of music, so this post could have been longer…ha ha! 🙂  Happy (almost) Easter!!  I will try to post something on Easter or sometime tomorrow.  Have a great weekend.  God Bless!  (Here’s one more good song)

“Wise men say, only fools rush in.  But I can’t help falling in love with you…”

-Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elivs Presley

Poor neglected blog! 😦  I’m sorry I have forgotten about you so many times!  I will make it up to you.  (There shall be many posts a coming!)

Anyway.  Hello!  Happy (almost) Easter to you, and Happy April!!!  Wow!  It’s four months into 2012.  There are many things going on.  Not in my personal life, but in the lives around me: family and friends, that is.  For instance, right now my dad and my sister are in Ireland!   They have gone on a week long mission trip, and so far all we’ve heard is that it’s going very well and they are both having a marvelous time! 🙂  Also, at the end of this month we’ll have two alpacas in our front yard, and sometime this year we’ll have quite a handful of puppies (I will probably advertise “pups for sale” on my blog in a few short months)!  So many new things.

A few Saturdays ago we tie-dyed some shirts with our friends, and they turned out very nice (I haven’t seen all of our friends shirts yet).  I have misplaced my camera, so I don’t have any pictures to share with you…so sorry.  This past Saturday we had a BIG Easter Egg hunt at my church, and it went really well!  There were lots of people there, lots of yummy food, and LOTS of eggs!  There were, I believe, 3-5,000 eggs total.  I managed to receive $7, which is always nice. 😉

My mom, sister, and I went to the movies  and saw a movie called “Friends With Kids”….let me just say that it was a complete waste of money (tickets are mighty pricey these days!), and time, and  it was a horrible movie.  Don’t see it.  I would have liked to see Mirror, Mirror, or The Hunger Games even, but we used $8 or more on a stupid, depressing movie instead…oh well!  (My mom was kind and generous enough to purchase my ticket for me *thank you, mom!*)

Lately I have been helping out with a lot of work at my church.  We bought a house next door to our church that we are totally gutting out and re-doing for our kids Sunday school classes and play practices, and the youth group.  It has been fun seeing it transform so much and so quickly from old, dirty, and quasterphobic, to new and clean and open space!  But I am quite sick of paint.

The seeds that I planted a while back are growing very nicely!  And the chicken coop is coming along as well.  Slowly but surely! 🙂  I can’t wait until my plants bloom!

Well, I feel like I could go on and say many more random things, but I think I will close with some scripture and let you know that my next post will be much more thought through and there will be some pictures too!  God bless, and have an amazing Easter!  Christ has risen–there truly is need to celebrate.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20
