A few days ago I was taking pictures and I came across a kaleidoscope laying on the floor, so I picked it up and took a picture of it…

Then I took a picture of the inside of it.  A few, actually. 🙂

Have a glorious and colorful day!  Much love, and God bless.

Thanksgiving and Tangee Lipstick

Hello blog!  It’s almost Thanksgiving!  I am very excited. 😀

Well, I am entering a very awesome giveaway.  It is for a Tangee lipstick which starts out like plain chap-stick, moisturizing but no color, then turns to the appropriate shade just for you!

My sister got some once and I remember it being so much fun seeing the different colors it turned on different people!

Anyway, the give-away is taking place at Brentwood Lane, a blog which is owned by three vintage-loving sisters, and if you are interested you should enter!  Thanks to Bessie I got to enter for some awesome lipstick and I hope you do too!  Link is below (copy and paste). 🙂

Have a marvelous Thanksgiving!  God bless,

My Other Friend…

As I went through folder after folder on my computer the other day, I realized, as I came upon some pictures, that you (blog) have never been introduced to my dear friend ‘Sid’.

Sid is my absolutely amazing bicycle that Santa Claus so graciously brought into my life a few years ago. 🙂

This bike style was named after Sid Vicious.  I don’t know why, and I definitely didn’t choose the name, but that’s what the style was called and ‘Sid’ is printed on the bike, as you can see from the first picture, so I won’t be changing it’s name anytime soon.  Anyway!

I didn’t take very many pictures of Sid, but Sid has a LOT of awesome features!  He has a bell, leather handles and a big comfy leather seat, a water bottle holder, light pink piping and accents, automatic shifting, kickstand, white fenders, and a…

Handy dandy rack thing!  Wow!  I just forgot what that was called!?!  Well, it can hold note pads and mail and stuff like that, and if I got a bungee-cord it could probably hold a small package or bag or something. 🙂

So, that’s Sid, and I love the old fellow.  It is a marvelous bike and I hope to have it for a long time.

(I took this picture!)

Have a marvelous rest of the week!  God bless.

Family Photos!

So, on Saturday we all got up, got dressed, and took family portraits…it went well! 🙂  We don’t usually take a bunch of family pictures like this, except for the occasional one on Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc…but Skylar was wanting to have us all there to take pictures.  So we did!  Let me know what you think.

Well, there you go!  There were more great ones, but I can’t seem to find them all.  Personally, I think all of those pictures turned out the best, don’t you? 😉

All kidding aside, we got some really good pictures out of this shoot, even though we were slightly rushed and we all didn’t really want to cooperate.  I hope you enjoyed those pictures and I hope you have a glorious week!  Much love!

Last year was 11/11/2011!  It has been a year (obviously) since I took a picture of the clock at 11/11/2011, 11:11 o’clock, and 11 seconds (that’s six eleven’s!).  ha ha! 🙂  Anyway.

I have lied.  I said I would post about the fiber festival, but I’m not really in the mood to post about that!  I’m stick tired of fluffy things!  A few days ago I went through all of my picture files on the computer and sorted them out (it took forever), so I have quite a few different things I can post about.

We had our family portraits taken yesterday which we don’t usually do except for a picture of everyone on Easter or Thanksgiving or something.  Skylar was our photographer.  It was fun, but I won’t tell you too much about it because I am going to share some of our “lovely” pictures with you soon (they’re not on my computer so I’ll have to get some on my computer first).

The weather is lovely today, but I am not in the happiest moon for some reason.  Hopefully I’ll figure out why.

Well, I’m leaving in a few minutes to go play volley ball!  I’ll be posting soon with pictures and stories and all that stuff.  Have a great rest of this day, blog.  Much love,

P.S. Happy Veterans Day.  Thank you, Soldiers, for all you have done.  God Bless America.

November Post…

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes…

It Has Come…

Well, tis the day we’ve been waiting for and dreading at the same moment.  I, and many others,  am awaiting the announcement of the new President of the United States *crossing fingers*.  It’s crazy how slowly yet so quickly this day has come.  I remember when Obama got into office.  I remember when everything started going crazy and millions of things were happening and billions (or shall we say trillions) of dollars were being spent, etc.  And yet in the midst of these unbelievable things going on that we were paying attention to, there were amazing things going on as well that we weren’t as much paying attention to.  I’m not going to sit here and name everything wonderful or not so wonderful that has happened during the past few years, but I am here to say that we will take back America.  Whether it be tonight or not, I know that the Lord has this world, this nation, this country, in the palm of His hand and we are protected no matter what happens.  By now, much more of this world is (or should be) awake since the last election and I think, hope, and pray that we will fight for our Freedom and for our Country, whatever it takes.

Well, here are some pictures!  I am putting a video at the end that really has nothing to do with the election, but I love the video a lot and the song, and almost every time I watch it it brings tears to my eyes (happy ones, not sad ones), so I thought I’d share it.  Enjoy!

Have a wonderful week.  No matter what happens, God is with us always.

Much love,

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation.  But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  -John 16:33
