Thank You

Thank you to all of the men and women who have fought and are fighting still and who have given their lives for America.  Thank you for your sacrifice.  Thank you to those I know personally who have served for their country.

Our country is taken for granted.  America is an amazing blessing ans gift and we have lost sight of that.  Lord, forgive us!  Thank you for your blessings and gifts that truly we do not deserve.  Be with these men and women and keep them strong, provided for and bless them, Lord, with your peace and hope and love.  God bless America!  Amen.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

God Bless,

Hey everyone (sorry for the goofy pic!  haha)!  Hope you’re having a GREAT day!  Well I have some exciting news…

You know how I mentioned starting another blog?  Well, I have started another blog/website dedicated to my photography!  It’s called Jennafifi Photography and you can find it if you click here.

This blog (Jennafifi), I have decided, is my online journal.  My thoughts, events, memories and things that I wish to express, so it is going to be a bunch of random and different things in one place, but that’s ok!  I am really excited about my photography blog and I hope you enjoy it if you stop by!

Thank you, as always, for your support, and please go check out my photography!  I will be posting there often at first while I am still getting it set up, so CHECK IT OUT!!!  *NOTE: I am not a professional, I have a lot to learn, but I have a good eye and a different perspective and really enjoy using my camera. 🙂

Much love and blessings,

Oh my gosh!  Guess what?  May 13th, 2015, was my 4 year “blogiversary!!!

Happy 4 Year Anniversary, Jennafifi! 😀

I can’t believe I’ve had a blog for four years!  And the past two have been pretty slow…sorry guys.

So, four years of random blogging.  Four years of pictures, poems, thoughts, bible verses and me apologizing for not posting!  haha!

The past couple of years I have thought about starting another blog either dedicated to devotions and bible relating things or cooking!  I know those things don’t have anything in common, but that’s why I thought it’d be easier to have a separate blog for one of those things and then this blog for everything else, you know?  I guess I don’t really know what Jennafifi is all about…I started it the day before my sister, Sarah’s, wedding (four years go!!) and I have loved it and enjoyed it since then, but it just seems so random to me!  Maybe it’s not a big deal; a lot of blogs are random like this.  And by random I mean SO many different things in one place!  Well, no one has complained thus far, so I think I’m on the right track. 🙂

My mind seems to be exploding with post ideas for this blog!  Now I just have to find the time to post them and get them all written out!  It’s a goal, truly, that I am setting for this summer!  BLOG BLOG BLOG!!!!!

May 15th, 2015…it has been a very busy year so far.  I’m working a lot, I’ve done a few things out of the ordinary/comfort zone, I’ve had a few good experiences and a few bad ones, and now I am ready to sleep and get ready to start the busy week once again!  I need to manage my time better.  It gets away from you so quickly that it doesn’t even seem like New Years was four months ago!  Wow.

Through everything, whether life seems crazy or idle, I have realized in those times, in the exact moment of craziness or solitude, that God is always there.  No matter how frightened I may get or unsure I may be, or how excited life seems at the time, He is always there to comfort, rejoice, heal, bring peace and provide every single need.

I love you, Lord, and thank you for these past four years that I’ve been able to blog.  Thank you for giving me the ability to express my love for writing through Jennafifi and also for the people who get to read and hopefully enjoy what I have to say, no matter how jumbled or random or in depth something may be.  You have blessed us, Father, and I am so grateful and thankful for everything; every single thing and every single person you’ve brought into my life.  Have your mighty hand over us and bless this day with your peace, your presence and your love.  Thank you, Lord, for all you are. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Here’s to another wonderful year for Jennafifi!  Thank you for your support and God bless.

A Note to All the Mothers

1 Peter 3:4 “but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.”

Dear Mothers,

Let me start with a many thanks.

Thank you for the love you share.  Thank you for every care that you care!  Thank you for being there, especially when we are scared.

Thank you for your big warm hugs.  Thank you for protecting us from all sorts of bugs!  Thank you for the wisdom you speak, and for every tear you wipe off of our cheeks.

This is a note to tell you how truly grateful I am that you’re around.

To my mother I say, I love you more and more each and every day!  No matter what I go through or if I push you away, I love you because you always stay anyway.

You are there for me when I need a ride, and there when I am hurting inside.  The things you have taught me I cherish so and am ever so grateful that I get to know.

Mother, you have given me freedom to do the things that I love, and the ability to know myself and to seek the Lord above.  You lead me to Him when I go astray, and I thank you for all the times you have prayed, for me to come to Him in trouble or pain or even happiness and joy, whatever decides to rain.  And then you are gracious to except my advice when you feel discouraged and there are tears in your eyes.

I love you so much, and these simple little words, cannot truly express that you are the best mother in the world!

To each his own, as they say. 🙂

God bless you mothers, and Happy Mothers Day!
