About me

Adventures in South Korea

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  Allow me to introduce myself, to those of you who don’t know me…

A baby zinnia

My name is Jennifer, and I am a young lady who loves to write and express my thoughts, opinions, memories and more through this blog.  I was home-schooled, graduated high school (2015), and am now attempting to start life with the bit of free time I have on my hands.  Aside from my interests and aspiration, my heart is to one day have a family and home of my own.

Sylvie and John

My family is quite unique  I have five brothers,  six sisters, and two amazing parents whom I love and adore!  Also there are two amazing brother-in-law’s (thus far), and I am the proud Aunt of three handsome nephews, and two beautiful nieces! ❤

Our home is a miniature farm.  There are alpacas, chickens, goats and sheep in the all over the yard, cats, dogs, and rabbits everywhere else, and we have some birds, fancy fish and many reptiles as well.  My father is a veterinarian, so that might explain something.  I use desire to be a vet, but that all changed the more animals we invited into our home, as heartless as that sounds.  It is not my calling.

Writing is something that I thoroughly enjoy.  I have kept a journal since I was 8-years-old and I absolutely adore to write letters!  It is a way for me to express myself more clearly and completely than any other way I know how.  To think we are entering into a time where people don’t even know how to write a good old fashioned letter scares me; I should be writing many more myself!  It’s a wonderful thing…to write and send a letter, and truly, alas, a seemingly lost art.

I love watching movies.  Oldies, Anime, mysteries, action movies, you name it!  I love music too; I don’t know what I would do without it, in all seriousness.  I play guitar and piano, and I sing and hope to learn how to play more instruments some day.  I took vocal lessons for almost 5 years and am soon starting to venture out into more advanced classes which I am thrilled about!

My feet in pointe shoes

Dancing use to be all that I cared about.  That may sound extreme, but it’s true!  I don’t dance anymore though, and even though it makes me sad to think about, I am so happy to have time on my hands to do other things, like writing, singing, knitting, learning new stuff, being with my family, growing in my faith, to name a few.  All the things that were almost impossible to do while being at a dance studio four days a week!

Random, but, I absolutely love Office Max!  Anything office related I enjoy.  Pens, paper, envelopes, stamps, typewriters.  I own (and use) a 1950’s typewriter that my dear sister, Bess, found for me!  It is one of my best friends (I once had an electric typewriter, but it broke.  Got to stick to the real thing!).

Eight out of twelve of us

Someday I wish to visit Ireland and maybe Italy, and anywhere else I get the opportunity really.  I want to learn Gaelic (just for fun) and I started learning Italian once but since stopped.  It got aggravating, which shows my patience for learning different languages.

Books are my escape from the world.  That and dreaming.  Well, maybe not completely, but I love to read.  I would be so happy to own a yellow Mini Cooper, and I think it would be fun to be someones personal secretary someday, and I love old cars…a lot!

So there’s a little introduction to who I am and what I enjoy!  Just wanted to jump start you on what you might have missed.  On Jennafifi you will hopefully find encouragement, truth, old cars, animals, rambles, poems, life and lots of random, deep, but well organized thoughts (as I like to think anyway).

The author

The most important thing to know is this…I love Jesus Christ with all of my heart and thank Him so much for being in my life and for saving me, a helpless sinner.  I will praise Him all the days He blesses me with and, through His love and grace, to the best of my ability try to advance His kingdom through what I do and seek His will in everything.

God bless,

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”  John 14:27 ESV

Hello, and thank you! I am so happy to hear from you and to know that you are enjoying this blog! 🙂 One of the reasons I started it was to let you guys in Texas and relatives other places check up and see what’s going on around here! Thank you again for your comment and views. Give Aunt Jean and Uncle Bob a hug for me; hope all is well. Love to you all from Georgia too!
