Thankful #4: Creation

November 4th, 2017…

I am so thankful for creation.  SO THANKFUL!!!  The sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, the grass, the trees, the seasons, flowers, bugs, birds, human beings; every single intricately designed living thing that lives and breaths on this earth.  I am so so SO thankful!  Thankful for the magnificent beauty found in it all…it’s just fascinating, jaw-dropping, incredible, inspiring, and truly magical. ❤

Today I went on a drive.  A looong drive.  It ended up being a beautiful two hour drive in a big figure-eight around where I live…guys, it was just what I needed and when I say beautiful, it was amazing *sigh*!!  The trees have not failed this fall to bring a tear to my eye with how beautiful they are!  They are all so vibrant, rich and colorful!  Even just around my home they are bright yellow, orange, and red and it makes my heart SO happy!  I drove around and just couldn’t help but smile the whole time; my windows down, my music on, and the perfect scenery surrounding me everywhere I turned…it was just so perfect.

Lord, I thank you for the time I got to spend exploring little roads right by my house and finding new places to watch sunsets and being able to witness your creation.  Father, I am in awe of what you have made!  Thank you for the eyes you’ve given me to see it and experience it!  There is so much beauty in this world, no matter the ugly, dirty, or darkness; Your light shines through always.  Thank you for the autumn weather, the cool breeze, the vibrant colors that make me feel so alive and excited and happy!  Truly, if there isn’t anything else to be happy about (which there is), seeing and being in your creation is enough.  Through what you’ve made you proclaim your power, ability, might, creativity, love, miracles, and so much more.  Help us to see the beauty in this world and in each other when things get ugly.  Allow us to help each other see the beauty in your creation and in your word and in your truth!  May we seek to be an example and light to those who cross our paths.  Open our minds and hearts to love, know, learn more, desire, and live for You, Lord!  Inspire us to live a life that reflects your grace, love, and magnificent glory!  I love you and thank you again for this day, the drive, the trees changing, and the promises that everything, no matter what happens, will be okay…there is no need to fear while we are in Christ, except for the power of God; may we respect and fear you, Lord, for you are capable of anything and everything!  It s in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Hello!  So, during these thankful posts I will be sorting out some other posts as well, and if you haven’t noticed, some days might pile up on each other depending on my schedule.  I’m going through pictures trying to re-organize them (and my whole life, really), so I’m excited to get things rolling on my photography blog as well.  I hope you are able to see and enjoy the beautiful changes during this autumn!!  I encourage you to take a drive, a walk, a road trip even, and soak it all up. ❤

Happy weekend!

Crisp, Cool, Colorful…

Yep!  That’s all I have to say!

Happy October! ❤  The best time of the year…FALL!!!

So, I’m in Korea!  Yes…I’ve been here for eleven (11) days and will be here for five (5) more days…yep!  That’s the “surprise”, travels and adventures I had mentioned. 🙂

Having such a fun time seeing a new place and observing a new culture.  It’s fascinating and eye opening and very exciting!

Looking forward to being home there, because home is where the heart is.  Or, wherever your heart is, is home. ❤

Happy October!  Much love!

Traveling Soul

Hello blog!  I will be pushing pause on my Pixie Haircut Journey because I’m going on a trip!

Tomorrow we leave for, well…somewhere far far away.  Once I get there I will share.  I’ll be posting pictures on Jennafifi and also on Jennafifi Photography.  I am very excited and nervous as well because this will be my first time in an airplane!  I’ll be praying a lot, that’s for sure.

Lately I’ve been inspired to write and draw and read…I want to work on some songs, poems and stories, I want to sing and draw little doodles.  Drawing is not really my “thing”, but sometimes I just really want to draw!  Anyway!

I’m very excited about my trip and about the opportunity and I hope the whole experience is amazing and a blessing, if I may be so bold to say.  When I return there are plenty of things for me to do and get started with which are also very exciting, so HOPEFULLY I will get my act together and blog more, because I love blogging, and work on my photography and embark on more new things and adventures!

Here’s to the trip!  Lord, in Jesus sweet name, be with us and keep us safe!  Thank you for your blessings and this opportunity for me.  Bless it, Lord, and bring us to our destination and bring me back home safely, Father.  Amen!

Oh yeah, look at this baby!  He’s so ADORABLE! ❤  Words cannot express the joy he brings to my heart and the love I have for my little nephew #3!

God bless and see you at our destination…

P.S. Fall is almost here!  I can’t believe it, but I also can’t wait!

Creation Science Museum

My brothers, Joshua and Ben, and myself went to an Answers in Genesis conference, the Answers Mega Conference 2015, in Kentucky in June and it was wonderful!  It was a last minute thing for me; I wasn’t planning on going at first, but I am so glad and thankful that I was able to go.

Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis is an amazing organization.  What I enjoy most about them is how they share the truth.  The point blank truth, which is SO important!  I want to write a small post about each session we went to.  There were 4-6 different sessions each day and we were there for the whole conference which was four days, so we heard a LOT of stuff and definitely left with plenty to think about and so much to reflect upon.  For today I want to share some pictures from the beautiful Creation Science Museum in Kentucky and mainly the lovely garden they have there.  Enjoy!

Beautiful garden!  When we went last year it was raining outside and the garden wasn’t in bloom.  Look at it now though!

The AMAZING universe and the comparisons of God vs. Man’s word (God’s is right by the way, sorry).

King Davis.

Bad picture of a beautiful starry sky tunnel.

This part of the museum is scary, but true.  I don’t like to walk through this part.

An inside look at an interpretation of what the ark “looks” like.

Miniature ark!  It’s so cute!  I am SO excited about the life sized ark Answers in Genesis is building (we got to go to the ark site; pics soon!)!

This is the real fossil of the Allosaurus (I hope I spelled that right).  It is a family member of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Joshua and I (and some guy trying to be cool in the background!).

It was a great trip, and again, I’m thankful I could go.  I love the truth!  It makes so much sense and there is such an assurance in it and a peace in the truth.

Yesterday I had a wonderful talk with my sister, Skylar, who is still in Korea (The Miller’s are home for the summer.  PLEASE forgive me if I didn’t mention that on my blog!), and we talked for a long time and she mentioned Philippians 4:6-8 and then after we talked I saw, read, or heard that verse 3 more times, so I have taken that as a hint or a clue or a sign that God wants me to realize that truth of Philippians 4:6-8 and dwell on it.

“6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”  Philippians 4:6-8

Thank you for stopping by whether it was the first time or you are a revisiting visitor, I don’t know?!  Have a blessed day and enjoy the beauty around you even when there is darkness in this world and things don’t always go a okay.  Much love.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Dad, I hope your trip has been AMAZING so far and I wish you the happiest father’s day even though you are away. ❤ I love you more than any words I can think up, or any post I share might portray. There are a few bible verses that you hold dear to your heart, but whenever I think of you the one below comes to mind.
Psalm 127:5 “Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them (children)! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”
MUCH love to you and I cannot wait to see you next week!

Bye bye Beach Waves

A bit belated, but here you go!

We had a very enjoyable time in Port Orange Florida a few weeks ago and here are a few pictures from the trip!

Jelly fish were washed up all over the beach.

it says “Get a Life”…the mushroom reminded me of Nintendo’s Super Mario games.

Don’t know what that is, but it looks cool!

We went to this store almost every day…it was awesome!

On the way home we drove through Ormond Florida which was beautiful!  The pic above was taken driving along the beach in Ormond.

It was a very fun get away and I enjoyed the sun and my mom and sister and getting out and doing something.  Who doesn’t like an almost week long trip to the beach?!

It is the end of March, already!  I say that at the end of each month and “It’s so and so month already!” at the beginning of each month; it’s just so crazy how fast a year goes by.  Now, January and February were decent months, but so far in 2015 March has been the best one.  I’m sad to see March leave so soon, but I’m excited for what’s ahead, for where God is leading me, and for how life will continue to unravel.  So, welcome April!  Welcome spring!  Welcome new opportunities and welcome new things in general! 🙂

I am DETERMINED to post about my hair process…that is how it has been growing out since I got a pixie in 2013 (WOW!  Almost 2 years ago!).  I just need to get my old computer to turn on and we’ll be good to go!  Here’s a recent pic though to tied you over (if you care about my pixie growing out process, that is).

Blessings and much love, as always.  Be happy, help someone, don’t forget all the good things in life because, truly, they out shine all the crap.  See you in April!

Port Orange Musings

Good morning!  So, this morning Mr. Oswald Chamber’s had some great advice to share and Ms. Sarah Young did as well.  As I sit here in a dark hotel room and think about what I just read in these two devotions I was inspired to share one of them today on my blog.  I chose Jesus Calling by Sarah Young to share so please enjoy this very encouraging devotion for the morning and please share it with your friends too.

Jesus Calling, February 28th

Stop judging and evaluating yourself, for this is not your role.  Above all, stop comparing yourself with other people.  This produces feelings of pride or inferiority; sometimes, a mixture of both.  I lead each of My children along a path that is uniquely tailor-made for him or her.  Comparing is not only wrong; it is also meaningless.

Don’t look for affirmation in the wrong places: your own evaluations, or those of other people.  The only source of real affirmation is My unconditional Love.  Many believers perceive Me as an unpleasable Judge, angrily searching out their faults and failures.  Nothing could be farther from the truth!  I died for your sins, so that I might clothe you in My garments of salvation.  This is how I see you: radiant in My robe of righteousness.  When I discipline you, it is never in anger or disgust; it is to prepare you for face-to-Face fellowship with Me throughout all eternity.  Immerse yourself in My loving Presence.  Be receptive to My affirmation, which flows continually from the throne of grace.

Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you will not be judges; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

Isaiah 61:10 “I will greatly rejoice in my Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”

Proverbs 3:11-12 “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.”

My mom, sister Susanna and I are spending the next three and a half days in Port Orange Florida!  While my mom attends an alpaca seminar (for those of you who don’t know, we have five alpacas), Susanna and I are going to sight see a little.  Today though it is overcast and rainy.  *please come out and visit us in Fl, Mr. Sun!*

Well, I’ll end here so I’m not on the computer all day.  I really hope the devotion and Bible verses above encourage you or speak to you or even give you a realization on how you see and think of yourself and if you really do care how others perceive you as well.  I am human and I’m a girl so I KNOW it is difficult to not compare and to think you are so much less then the next person, but whenever I have given my cares and concerns to the Lord through prayer He really does give you affirmation of His love and other peoples opinions really and truly do not matter in the long run!  Be the best and kindest person you can be and don’t worry about being popular and being noticed by everyone.  Love the Lord and try loving yourself too.  God has a plan and a purpose for all of us and especially if we are seeking to fulfill it He will reveal it to us and bless us through His plan for our lives.  That’s what I believe anyway.  God is so SO good.

God bless!  Stay warm and dry if the weather’s wet where you are, and have a lovely weekend and a wonderful day!
