Thank You

Thank you to all of the men and women who have fought and are fighting still and who have given their lives for America.  Thank you for your sacrifice.  Thank you to those I know personally who have served for their country.

Our country is taken for granted.  America is an amazing blessing ans gift and we have lost sight of that.  Lord, forgive us!  Thank you for your blessings and gifts that truly we do not deserve.  Be with these men and women and keep them strong, provided for and bless them, Lord, with your peace and hope and love.  God bless America!  Amen.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Hidden Pictures

Hello there!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, so I would like to thank the men and women, all of the soldiers past and present, for their service to this country.  We take for granted what freedom really is and what it means and how important it is.  We take for granted the comfort of our homes and having almost everything we need and want.  We take for granted the accompaniment and the relationships of our dearest friends and family.  Sit back and realize how blessed you are and what freedom is to you and how dear your family and friends really are.  It is so important to acknowledge these little things because really that’s what we should live for.  We should be grateful and humble for the blessings and provisions God has given us, we should be overjoyed for the freedom we have in the amazing United States of America which was intrusted to us and given to us, and we should, more then anything, love and cherish the friendships we have and the relationships we have with our families.  But again, thank you soldiers for your duty and your service and sacrifices of pleasures and comfort and may God be with you and bless you.

I found some “hidden pictures” on an old memory card that are from the baby shower we gave Sarah in 2012!  I wanted to share them today, but something will not let me load any new pictures onto my blog today!  Errors keep popping up, so I’m just going to have to wait!  Oh well.

Also, I was going to share some pictures of baby River with you guys today, but I can’t load the pictures! 😦  Hopefully by the end of the day the computer will cooperate!

Well, time to get stuff done.  I will try again later to upload my pictures so hopefully it will work!  Much love and I hope you have a wonderful day today!

God Bless,

Today was a beautiful day!  I got to ride on the motorcycle to the store with my brother and it was so much fun!  I don’t think I would mind having a motorcycle…but there are too many people who would disapprove. 😉  My mom and I also went on a “top down” convertible drive which was so wonderful because the sun was setting, the grass was green, the honey suckles smelled so sweet, and there was actually some peace!  I might not have been at peace completely myself, but my surroundings were and it felt so nice.

There was a cherry red mustang convertible parked in a driveway by our house and it looked like a 1950-60 model *sigh*…It was so pretty!  I would probably spend a lot of money on an old car if I could only get my hands on a good one.  I wouldn’t even mind fixing it up and learning about it and how to repair, fix, and make it beautiful! 🙂  It would make me very happy to own an old car…anyway!

I hope everyone who has plans has a nice Memorial day weekend.  Thank you soldiers who have fought and stood up for our freedom and for America.  You are truly brave and courageous and I lift you up in my prayers, truly.  God bless this country; be with us, Lord, and keep us safe.  Thank you for this beautiful day and for the abundant blessings you have given us from now to eternity with you.  In your holy and precious name I pray, Amen.
